I know you have all heard that saying, but I wanted to tell you a story that happened to me that really brought it home on a personal level.

A little over 6 years ago I was unemployed and about a week away from living in my car. Needless to say, I was a bit down and feeling scared.  Then the most amazing things began to happen.

First my brother contacted me and told me I have some money coming from a life insurance policy from when my dad died quite a long time ago.  That was the first miracle.  Then we went to a mobile home park to find a place to rent. The manager said he didn’t have anything, but there was a guy who happened to be there that had a place he may rent.

We went to the lot and the next thing we knew, we had a mobile home given to us! He didn’t want to rent it, his mother had died and he just wanted it out of his life. Wow!

Then I found Acustream, a company that helps healthcare facilities find missing revenue. They had just moved from the east coast to Colorado and needed a coder/auditor. I was skeptical of the type of work they wanted me to do(it was a pretty new concept), but since I didn’t have a job I decided to give it a try.  That was the beginning of a wonderful experience that continues to this day.

I just wanted to share and let you all know that no matter how bleak things may appear, you never know what the day may bring, so keep the faith!
