Getting older is not something any of us like to think about, but it is inevitable.
Trying to hold onto youth is like trying to hold a snowflake. It is beautiful to look at, but fleeting. Gone in the blink of an eye.
Life is a time of learning and exploring new things. It is very exciting, but most of us just whiz through it like we are going to live forever. Then, wham! You are 65 years old and you realize you are in the final phase of your life.
This is when you begin to face your own mortality. This is when you reflect on your life and wonder what you could have done differently and how it might have affected the outcome.
As I look back at my life, I see how much time I wasted. Opportunities passed me by while I held on to the things I should have released. I realize now how quickly life can change. One minute you are on top of the world, the next you are under it.
Now is the time to release your negative emotions. Reach inside and connect with the positive vibrations of the universe. Go outside, put your phone down and breathe in the life that is so abundant around you. Take some time to really look at your surroundings that are not man made. Look at the trees in your yard and the animals that appear from time to time. Become one with nature and let it flow through you. It works better than any drug to heal your spirit.
Be grateful for what you have, because it could all be gone in an instant. Never take anything for granted. Even the smallest things become huge when they disappear. If you take one day to show your gratitude for everything around you, you will be amazed at how rich your life really is.
Everyday when I get up I thank the powers that be that I have another day of life.
I know many people have health problems, and it can be very difficult to feel positive when dealing with these types of trials, but it can also be a good time to reflect and delve into your inner being to reach for the light and strength you need to overcome whatever it is you are facing.
I try to stay positive in this world full of hate and discord. The thing I have found helpful is to not get sucked into all the negativity that is so abundant in our everyday lives on the world wide web. So I try to avoid things that have a negative effect on me. If I see a headline that disturbs me, I just go by it. If I see some horrible thing on Facebook, I block that type of news. You obviously can’t close your eyes to everything, but you also don’t have to become absorbed in it. It becomes a matter of choice, just like everything in our lives.
I hope you all have a great day and stay positive. Everything changes, so be aware of what is going on around you. REMEMBER-you are in control.
